Hello dear readers. I possess an ordinary lady’s personality and carry a sketchbook along with tea while consistently sharing numerous stories. Through the years I discovered various unexpected events occur when people reach aging maturity. Most aged-related occurrences are funny if people can suspend their serious outlook to become amused. Every day I try to maintain my attitude of laughter. Each of my cartoons represents this message. If you want to enjoy such cartoons than we recommend you to read the blog till the end.
Old Age Cartoons
I began art making humorous cartoons out of aging about three years ago. It was initially started as pastime in the mornings when most people were silent. Thus I would be by the window with a pencil on the table and a thought in mind, something funny that I saw the day before. Perhaps, I went to the store in the morning, wearing one shoe on the left foot, and another shoe on the right foot. Perhaps my friend and I once had a full conversation with our hearing aids removed and in fact only partly comprehended each other.
The subjects of my cartoon are human beings that resemble myself and my friends. We have messy buns, baggy pants and a small amount of attitude in our movements. Now and then we see ourselves attempting to catch up with latest technology. We literally tell our selves this is just your age when other times you are at the doctor’s office rolling your eyes. It is quite amusing to have jokes made from our bad memory, our arthritis, and our small power naps. But it doesn’t mean that we do not work it with heart and humor.

I also like to receive messages like ‘this cartoon made my day’ from those people who receive them. I have received a letter from one lady and she said to me that she had been lonely and my drawing made her laugh out loud for the first time in a long while. That is the kind of thing that keeps me going, to the extent that I sometimes think it could be a problem. It is about making someone feel good, at least for a few moments or few hours.

It is very common to come across old ladies putting curlers in their hair gossiping. You will see frowning grandfathers who struggle with intelligent devices that do not hear. There is, of course, coffee, there will be sleepiness, and there will be laughter. These are my messages of the day that one does not have to grow old for humor to be applicable. It is one thing that does not fade away with time. And it is something that one can easily identify with irrespective of his or her status in life. Do not forget to share this blog with your loved ones.
