Cats Made Their Owners Wonder “What’s Wrong With My Cat”

Cats have a unique way of communicating with their owners. If they want attention, they meow. If they need food, they purr. And if they’re sick, they scratch at the door. But what happens when cats get sick? Do they make any sounds? When cats get sick, they may not show it right away. They might just look fine. Or they could appear lethargic and uninterested in food. Sometimes, though, they don’t even eat. Instead, they lie around and sleep.

A cat’s illness doesn’t always mean something bad is happening. In fact, sometimes it’s nothing serious at all. It could just be a cold or flu. If your cat isn’t acting normally, take him to the vet. He might have an infection, kidney disease, cancer, or some other problem. If you think your cat is ill, call your veterinarian immediately. You never know how long he’ll last until help arrives. Make sure your cat gets plenty of exercise and fresh air. That way, he’ll stay healthier.

Don’t give your cat medicine without talking to your vet first. Your cat’s body is different than yours, and his reactions to drugs are unpredictable. Keep your cat indoors. Outdoor temperatures can be dangerous for him. Be careful when handling your cat. He could hurt himself if you accidentally step on him. If you notice any changes in your cat’s behavior, contact your vet immediately. If your cat suddenly stops eating, check his water bowl. Is it dirty? Does he seem thirsty?
